Fantasy Defense Streamers
If you’re streaming defenses, here are a few options for you to consider for Week 13. These D/ST units might be available on your waiver wire for a last-second addition.
Kansas City Chiefs (vs. DEN)
At one point, the Chiefs’ defense was on pace for historical levels of futility. Kudos to them for figuring things out.
Two weeks ago, the Chiefs held the Cowboys without a touchdown. They’ve allowed 14 points or fewer in their last three games. This defense is playing a lot better, and it’s showing.
The Chiefs have recorded an interception in six straight games and a fumble recovery in three straight. Additionally, they sacked Dak Prescott 5 times in Week 11. This season, Teddy Bridgewater has taken multiple sacks in all but two starts, so Kansas City should feast.
The Broncos are an offense that wants to control the ball on the ground. When they fall behind, they’re prone to mistakes. The Chiefs are home favorites, and we can project a negative game script for the Broncos. We want opponents of our defenses throwing because that’s how sacks and turnovers are generated. The Chiefs are a top streamer this week.
Miami Dolphins (vs. NYG)
The Giants are coming off a much-needed win over the Eagles. However, let’s not pretend like their offense is suddenly fixed following the axing of Jason Garrett. The team generated 13 points, scoring a single touchdown. New York was committed to getting Kenny Golladay involved in the offense but just couldn’t do it. This is a bad unit.
The Giants’ offensive struggles are great news for the Dolphins. Miami has been playing quality defense lately, much improved from earlier this year. They’ve recorded 16 sacks, 10 takeaways, and 2 touchdowns over their past four games while holding their opponents to 17 points or fewer.
This defense wasn’t even remotely in consideration over the first eight weeks of the season, but over the past four, they’ve scored double-digit fantasy points three times.
The Dolphins are set up to succeed once again in Week 13 and make for an excellent streaming option in a majority of leagues.
